Cortisol is a hormone that is released when you are stressed, and while your body’s cortisone levels naturally dip during sleep, sleeping naked lowers your cortisol levels even more due to the deeper sleep you get.

When you have increased levels of oxytocin and decreased cortisol, your immune system functions much better. This means you have greater chances of fighting infections, viruses, and bacteria, and you won’t get sick easily.

Sleeping naked is a great way to cool your body down and achieve a deeper sleep. There is, however, another benefit to this. When your body is at a low temperature, it tries to warm you back up by creating more brown adipose tissue (more commonly known as brown fat), which produces heat by burning calories.
